Football Trip: Baltimore and Washington

Football trip to Washington and Baltimore

The NHL season didn't start until 2013 because of the labour dispute between the league and its players.  So instead of hockey and football, we decided to find a place where we could catch two football games.  One of the places this can be done easily is Washington and Baltimore which are about 45 mins apart by car.

The Sunday game was the Baltimore Ravens vs the Pittsburgh Steelers.  A premium game for a premium price.  And we sat right in the back!  The Monday nighter was the Washington Redskins vs the New York Giants.

Feb 3, 2013 Update:  The Baltimore Ravens won the Superbowl this year.  For the game we had gone to, the Ravens had lost to the Steeler's backup quarterback and were in the midst of a losing streak with injuries to two key defensive players.  Funny how things can turn around so quickly in the NFL.

This car was absolutely covered in bird crap.  Not sure how long it was
parked there.

This soul food restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Drives

Ravens tailgate

M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

This is a view from our seats.  We sat in the absolute last row of the stadium.

USS Constellation docked in Baltimore.

This is a Chesapeake Cheese Steak.  That white stuff is a crab with Old Bay on it.
It was great!  This place was also featured in Diners Drive-Ins and Dives.

Fedex Field in Washington.  This stadium is away from the core and is pretty
difficult to get to.  Traffic around the stadium is brutal like it is in Buffalo.

For the Skins game, we had seats at the 50 yard line.  Pretty sweet.  This was a great game.

DC Cupcake.  6 guys walk into a cupcake bakery.....

There's actually a "J" behind the tree.  "Janus"

Touristy stuff.

  1. On the shot of the submarine control panel, there is a "Band Selector" knob with settings 1 through 8. Do you know which setting you select to a-make her dance?
